    Hello from former ground dweller

I just made my first two posts not counting this one. I have been lurking for about two years now. I am retired but still enjoy the woods and camping.

My ground dwelling past includes 22+ BWCAW and Quetico trips including four solo canoe trips. There have been numerous motorcycle camping trips to the US west, Canada and eastern US.

My first hammock was a Byers. The second an Enos double and the third a dual layer diy of Scott's design with an adjustable srl and strap/ring suspension. I also have a diy synthetic underquilt and a diy mossie net.

I thank all of you and this forum for helping me and others to discover a superior comfortable method for camping. So far I have received about thirty shots for my back and the hammock is the best nights sleep!

I want to give out a special shout out to Shug. I wasn't sure about him when I first saw him on youtube but then discovered he was Irish which explained it all!

    Hello and welcome from Indiana!
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."
