    Ill be making 4/ 15ft straps. I thought originally I could go to REI and buy it by the foot, but they only sell nylon webbing. Also our local Midwest Mountaineering doesn't carry polyester either. Any tips for sewing the loops? (I am not handy with the thread injector, but have access to one)

    I used a machine and used the box with an X in it method. I had sent used a thread injector since middle school and didn't find it too hard.

    Many people have used all of these methods successfully. The more stitching you add, the stronger it will be. (aka, 5 bar tacks will break at a higher load than 3).

    Strap works will sew the loops into the ends for you if you wanted, other companies might do the same.
