I opted for a double 1.1 over a single 1.7 just to have more options for pads in the future.
Wow. I don't know who got the better deal in that transaction. A custom mikeinfhaz quilt, or a BB? That is a pretty even swap.

That really looks like a sweet quilt Mike. Can't wait to try it out! From what I hear, Sedona will give us lots of cold weather to put our gear through it's paces with.

yes yes, I got the same thing a lefty. Also got O.D. Green so I can easily spot a wandering tick .

I got the 1.7 double for myself. Because I fluctuate between 185 and 200lbs. It was a little thicker fabric, therefore would probably not stretch. As for the double layer, I got it so I could easily insert a pad for insulation and not have to worry about it sliding around under me. To me it was worth a small fraction more weight. Oh and I got the webbing with ring buckles and carabiners because it was pretty much idiot proof and made it easy for this newbie to set up quickly.

I ordered 2 of the 1.1 double layers for my teenage boys. They dont weight as much as Tubby does so Brandon (Warbonnetguy) suggested the 1.1 I also got the same set up for them for the same reasons as above.

ok, cats out of the bag. i'm gonna try a couple with removeable doors and see how it goes.

anyone up to 200 should be fine in the double 1.1, and heavier folks who are concerned about packweight as well, but if you're 200+ and not that concerned about packweight, the double 1.7 is the way to go for max comfort.
