The biggest part is finding spots in each of the states. If someone in each state spends the time to find good spots and makes sure that it will work for our amount of people that would greatly help that variety of group spots. I would love to personally check out reasons property and if that could work for the fall hang on a regular basis that would also be awesome.

I bet with a few basic guidelines our fellow NEHHA members will have no trouble coming up with some spots. maybe a coastal ME hang in the summer?

    Summer ideas!!
Another great site is Tripoli Road dispersed camping off exit 30 of 193 in NH. You only pay per car, and a whole weekend Fri-Sund nights is $25.00.... just an idea for a good Summer hang.
There are dispersed camping sites also off 302 near Mt. Washington. We could plan a day hike up there if it were a long weekend hang.
I don't have a lot of ideas for Maine. We've hammocked at Acadia NP and farther up @ Cutler Coast near Lubec @ Cobscook Bay Campground. That would be a hike for most, but will include more of the Northern Maine and NH peeps.

I think what I am going to do is set up a Spread sheet going for possible hang locations. I will do that tonight when I get home later tonight.

You can consider our land as a year-round option. Car camp or hike further in. Winter snowshoe also an option. It would be great to plan something with some serious hiking planned in. Can't beat the price and ability to make last minute reservations. :-)

Ohhhhh....I am so tempted to sign up for this. I am typically a fair-weather girl, but am really trying to push myself out of my comfort zone. So it's 'car camping', but how far is the parking area from the camping area? Much of a hike in?

Second wind you can literally drive up to the location drop your stuff off in one of the lean to's there go park your car about 500 feet down the road come back find a spot and start bringing your stuff out as needed. It is setup so that you can bring as much stuff as you think you will need. We also have a building on site that we can have a firewood stove going incase it gets to cold for anyone. There a lot of safety measures in place to make anyone feel comfortable to try it. All that is not including the army's worth or extra gear everyone else brings.

Secondwind, at first my wife wanted no part of it, she was worried about the cold too but with the bunk house with fireplace and everybody bringing extra gear, she agreed to give it a shot.
We are gonna set up her hammock but she thinks she will most likely end up sleeping inside by the fire.
Either way all will be warm and all will have a good time, come on out- the more the merrier!
I Am sure that nobody in this group is gonna let anybody be cold or need anything.!
