I'll have a large tripod if your pot has a bail on it. If it doesn't I'm rigging a chain to use with a grill that we can suspend over the fire.

I am still planning on making the Spicy Red Clam Chowder that I brought to last winter's hang. I will be making that in a 2 1/2 gallon pot. I also have 4 gallon S/S brew pot that I will put in the car for anyone's use. Folding table, campfire chair and snow shoes already in the car.

I have plenty of beans, crushed tomatoes, onions and basic chili spices. The biggest pot I have is probably just under two gallons, which I think should be good...? Also, I don't have a big camp stove to cook it on. We could possibly rig something to go over the fire. Sunshower, I know you mentioned bringing chili, but if you want to join in with me and whoever else wants to add something you can.

    So...thoughts anyone?

And props to the folks who braved the cold Friday night. It got down to -15 in Northampton!
I haven't chimed in yet on the stone-soup or stone-chili, but I have some red peppers and will also bring ground beef.
Does anyone like corn in their chili?

Grey Eagle, thanks for offering to bring the stove, Zilla and R3l@x both offered to bring tripods for the fire, so I think that makes the most sense and will save fuel. I appreciate the offer though.

Zilla, R3l@x, thanks for offering the tripods. My pot doesn't have a bail, I'll bring it, but we might want to use Tripod's pot since its bigger...(thanks Tripod! Ill bring some cleaning supplies so i can clean it up for you after). And Zilla corn bread sounds great!

Pretbek, red peppers and ground beef are fine with me and anything else you want to toss in...

Thanks for all the generous offers. Can't wait to see everyone!
