Well, have the day off and am packing our gear when i hear a lound boom and the house shakes. The dog and I run outside half expecting to see a car parked in or against the house. We didnt see a thing. Just found out it was a 1.9 mag earthquake. What a way to start a hammock hang trip.

    Happy NEHHA hang eve everyone.

Lilprincess is picking up the roast tomorrow it looks like I'll be trying to get about a 15 pounder and we will be cooking in the convection oven again. Yummy.
===> Yum! Okay then. I will bring my DO, and all the donut makings. This will be yet another fun hang!

I'll bring a box of cooking tools serving spoons etc and a couple folding tables if I have room. Bringing some sausages maybe for Sunday breakfast and a slightly spicy cabbage side dish for Saturday dinner.

Oh great! I saw you do the "straight on the coals" method at the Fall NEHHA and you showed photos of the convection oven. It will be fun to see that method in action this time.

===> Dang! This happened last year too! Went to get the Goat meat at Mayflower Poultry in Cambridge, and they were basically sold out! I forgot that the large ethnic communities in the area favor Goat for their holiday dishes! They did have a couple of frozen rabbits, but they looked too skinny to be of any group cooking value. Next year, or next hang, I just might buy a young Goat and butcher it myself!

Based on the time commitments I have, looks like I may be limited to making the donuts this hang!
