If you and SkyPainter bring your chairs, we could have sledding chair races!

I hope to have snowshoes by then. Maybe a quick lesson and then a hike would be great as I haven't used any since my boy scout days, long, long, long ago.....

That is easy to accomplish. Of course it will depend on how much snow we will get by then.

I am tentatively in. I am getting laid off next Friday, but am going for a town position this Tuesday. I dont know if I will get the job, and, if I do, what my schedule will be. So, if I have the time off, I will be there.
As to worrying about being warm while sleeping, I probably had the most minimal setup last year: simply a 0 degree bag, with reflectix underneath. I put a water bottle filled with hot water in the sleeping bag about a half hour before bed, and slept warm both nights. So warm, I had the bag partially opened. I also wore nothing but wool layers. Never once did I get chilly. A word of advice to anyone coming though: wear WINTER boots. Not sneakers, not your usual hikers. We had several people last year that wore inappropriate footwear, and their feet got wet, and cold. Dont do that. To be honest, you are better off wearing flipflops (no lie-your feet will not freeze, as they arent contained in a cold, wet environment). So, please, think of your feet. Spending the entire weekend with your feet propped in front of a fire, although fun, doesnt allow you to get to explore, when your footwear is frozen solid.

Just so people understand, you do not need an UQ to be comfortable and warm in the winter, but is sure helps!

A couple of pads and/or some reflectex will take you a long ways.

===> Definitely bringing my rocker to race! It's back in the truck someplace, but I have faith that 'Francois' will offer it back up when we need it!
