    Bikepacking in Kent, WA

    Greetings from Kent, WA!

I rode RAGBRAI this summer with my brothers and saw a few people using ENO hammocks and fell in love with the idea. I'm working my way towards independent bikepacking and touring - got most of the kit together, and recently bought a Hennessy Expedition.

Grew up camping with the family and biking, continue to bike commute and camp with my wife and kids but looking forward to some solo trips on the bike.

Been lurking here for awhile and looking forward to participating.

Welcome to the site! There are tons of things to learn and you can find it all right here.

I am just getting into bikepacking and I am looking to do the C&O/GAP Trails in May of next year. Hope to see you around the site.

Welcome to the forums from a fellow cycle tourist, Philip!
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

Sounds awesome, I'm working towards the same goal. Maybe I'll catch up with you out on the west coast.

    Welcome from Iowa!
I rocked the hammock on RAGBRAI this summer as well. Experienced a torrential downpour mid-week, stayed high and dry in my hammy. Ground dweller buddy had 2" of water in his t**t.

My parents decided to make a family trip of it; since me and my 2 brothers were riding together so we stayed in their RV. I remember seeing 2 ENO hammocks not sure if I saw yours.

I just got my hammock in the mail on Saturday. And it's been pouring buckets ever since! Soon...

WELCOME! (and you've got great addictions!)

I too love to bikepack. Lots of threads and members here to fuel the fire. Planning to use panniers or a trailer?
