    big dude in WBBB?

I have been talking up hammocks every chance I get and I think my sweetie (6'4" about 300lbs) might be tempted into a hammock.

Now, he'd find my gathered-end, top-loading, no-bug-net, no-bells-and-whistles, plain-old-plain hammock comfy enough, I don't doubt. But I'd rather tempt him with a super nifty super comfy hammock like a blackbird.

Of course, I'd have to buy a blackbird. Maybe I'd even get to use it.
    For a few seconds.

So, here's the question: would a 1.7 double be strong enough, comfortable and roomy enough for a 6' 4" 300 lb fella?

I'm 6'1 260 and just completed a two hour nap in mine. It seems plenty large for his height and weight. From what I've seen from WarbonnetGuy's posts, 300 is about the limit for the 1.7 double. He should be okay, but since I just got mine Wednesday, maybe some others have better/more experience. Good luck!

double 1.7 should hold more than 300. the 2 layers combined are heavier than haab fabric and those are rated to 400.
