Thanks for the tip CanadaDan! I thought that park was with the SEPAQ. Glad to know it isn't cuz I hate their restrictions, such as buying firewood when there are dead trees everywhere. Last summer friends and I went to Megantic and it cost us more in wood that food and camping combined haha.

We usually settle for camping at ZECs, such as ZEC Lavigne because they let you use dead trees for fire and don't treat you like babies. Down side to the Zec is you can't really through hike.

ive been looking to thru hike the LT as well, if i can swing it- schedule wise. Living in southern VT, ive been backpacking around the GMNF quite a bit over the last few years. Many great spots to hang, but a consideration for an LT thru hike is that a lot of times you will have shelters to yourself. This depends on when you're leaving, and if you're going NOBO or SOBO. In the event you're solo at a shelter, its usually pretty easy to setup your hammock inside- provided you aren't at one of the busier ones.
A great resource/trailjournal I came across yesterday with tons of pics is this website:
    www.downthetrail.com
he took a lot of photos along the way- documented many of the shelters and sights. Didn't hang, but still gives you an idea what each section consists of- terrain wise.
