Extra loop option on UQ?

I am looking at the full length UQ and saw that I can add 4 "extra Loops". how many loops are there already and how would I benefit from extra ones? (I'm new to the UQ idea and not very familiar with how they are set up)

Normally they don't come with the loops. Some of the hammock makers add quilt hooks to the sides of their hammocks that the loops would attach to. They just provide another way to keep the UQ in place.

Ok. Makes sense. And they would allow an over the ridge line suspension point in the absence of clips? Sounds like a worthwhile addition, just for more options.
