Hello,
You have a wonderful forum and I'm grateful I found you.
My husband and I are completely new to "hanging" and very excited about it as we are trying to figure out which hammock system to choose.
We'd love to share one hammock, but are discovering this is next to impossible for sleeping. We tried the Eno Double Deluxe for a couple hours - it just doesn't work for two people to sleep.
I've been researching a lot lately, and this forum has been very helpful. I'm attracted to the DD Jungle Hammock system - its versatility, the spreaders, but I guess we'll have to have two hammocks, not just one.
We have backpacked, hiked, camped, backcountry primitive camped, and car-tented for many years - and since we've been married (recently) we've reignited our enthusiasm for minimal weight backcountry hiking and primitive camping. Together we've primitive-camped at White Sands National Monument, Hueco Tanks SP (Phenomenal! Met our first hammock-camper here, 4 private primitive sites, In the middle of nowhere, east of El Paso, Texas), Saguaro National Park (Douglas Springs), and Warren Bridge BLM in Wyoming en route to Yellowstone.
We'd love to hear from others who prefer to spend the night close together, yet get a good night's sleep. Recommendations and such are welcome!
