I'll be bringing dutch oven potato chowder.

I'm vegetarian but don't let that hold anyone back from making anything. I usually fill up on chocolate bars anyways when I'm in the woods as a treat to myself

Usually Ohio Hangs are family/pet friendly so I'm sure kids and dogs would be welcome (if the park allows animals, of course) but I'm not organizing so I'll leave others to comment if it would be an issue or not.

I try to maintain a vegan diet. Hence the veggies and hummus. I do slip a bit when in the woods. The chowder sounds tempting.

Okay, sounds like there is enough interest to keep the dal vegetarian/vegan friendly. I will use coconut oil instead of lard so that everyone can try some.

How far of a hike is it from Twin Creek Tecumseh site up to the Germantown Shimps Hollow group site? I will have to figure that one up, I will get back to you on this one

Is anyone bringing kids? We were thinking of maybe bringing ours. We have an 11 yr old boy and a 13 yr old girl. If no one else is bringing kids, we can just leave 'em at the grandparents' house for the weekend. Either way is cool. Bring kids, all are welcome. I am a 41 year old child so my wife says

Is bringing a dog okay? Absolutely, my black lab Gus will be with me

Looking forward to meeting you all.

Did any of you guys from the dayton area lose a set of Eno straps at Indian Riffle park in Kettering?

Ok everyone, slight change in plans. I have moved us to the Shimps Hollow site, still in Germantown, because I am afraid we will run out of room at the other site. Which is GREAT!!! There are some potentials coming not on the forums so I know the Shimps site will hold 30 plus hangers. The Shimps site is easier to find as well. I am looking forward to seeing my friends and making some new ones!! The dates will be Friday the 15th and Saturday the 16th due to only being able to reserve the same site 2 nights in a row. Let me know if anyone was planning on staying Sunday night and I can see about getting another site to pack to that night.

Great, we will likely bring our kids. They both have ENO DNs passed down to them from hubby and I.
