I enjoyed a 3 night trip last weekend. Nights were in the high 30s and had a long steady rain drizzle one night. The SF performed great. Stayed warm and dry. I really like how you can batten down the hatches and still feel roomy inside. There are countless setup options with this tarp. Only drawback is there are a lot of tie down points and stakes to keep track of... "no such thing as bad weather - just bad gear"...

    Regarding the pole mods....

I was inspired by a post to make simple, no-sew mods to my WBSF and I love it!

The way the poles "square off" the profile adds much living space, and IMO finding an anchor for side pull-outs that is at the right height, right angle and reachable without a step ladder is nigh impossible.

Oh, I use Permatex flowable windshield silicone on the four pull-outs. Not a drip.

I also use the Single Line Tarp Ridgeline purchased from whoopieslings.com with S-biners.

    Porch Mode

So far I have only used two different setups with my tarp. 1) A traditional setup with doors closed. 2) a porch-mode setup as shown in the attached pic.

Have fun experimenting with what works best for you! Everyone has their own creative styles (usually better than mine) for setting up their tarps.
Nice setup. I will be using mine for the 2nd time on the NOVA hang on the 29/30. Like your porch mode.

I love the use of amsteel for the loops.. I've noticed that my snap-rings are starting to rust in a couple of places, so I may go ahead and make some replacements out of amsteel..

Oh gee.. I ran out of amsteel, guess I have to go shop on dutchwaregear.com for some more..
