Whoooppeeeee! WBBB XLC came across the world

I just took delivery of my order of WBBB XLC 1.7 sl, Yeti, and Superfly here in Tbilisi, Georgia today! It looks like so many levels of awesome, I can't even begin to explain! And a trip is coming up this weekend to the jagged mountain ranges of the Caucasus in Svaneti region, which has the promise of magnificent views. Brandon's work will feature in them for sure! This is where I'm going with a bunch of locals:

Ok, so pics were promised, and us norsemen were always renowned for keeping our word... no matter how long ago it was given...! ()

So, these are from the region in Western Georgia known as Svaneti, which I'm told has the highest permanently populated place in Europe (Ushguli, if I recall correctly). Overnight snow prevented us from getting to that village, but we had a couple of great nights, and the XLC is sooooo the right choice for me at 186 cm in my socks! (Un?)fortunately, the Svaneti wolves and bears got wind I was coming, and stayed away..!









To get to those sights (yes, not sites), we had to cross this:

And then I got to spend a night in my XLC:



which made me this happy:



And that hammock was just about as comfy as I had anticipated! I must have had the best two nights sleep in my life!

I know this should probably be a trip report, but my last trip report was of a trip where nothing went the way I expected, and this kind of went the same way due to the snow and rain closing the roads and mountain passes, so I'll have think about it.
