Yeah the thread is dated and yes I am posting a pic. I was always told I would be late to my own funeral.
Here is my xgf, dog and me hanging in the Allegheny National Forest. The DIY tarp she had was damaged (thread bare along one side) and we opted to use the common poly tarp to cover her as the rain would not let up all weekend. It worked out because we set it up for porch mode on the far side so she wasn't standing in mud. She was over a small depression and extending the tarp forced the water out and away so it was dry underneath. Notice the gear on the ground along with the dogs poncho liner bed. I pitched my tarp high to facilitate the same but the wind picked up at night and I lowered it to stop from swaying so much.
