Alright, looking at 3 different tarps, the Warbonnet Edge, the Chinook 12' by 9'6", and the Wilderness Logics Tadpole Tarp. The Chinook is on here just because it is half the price of the other two(although heavier). The Edge and Tadpole are the same price. Which of the three I get depends on birthday money in the next couple weeks. BTW, I'll be 16 on my birthday. I'm also getting a larger and nicer backpack, a Kelty Lakota 85, that I found for $89.99. I might have to hold off on getting a nice tarp for a while.
BTW, what suspension would be best for the DoubleNest?

the eno dn was my first hammock and I used an exped 9 full length mat. slept right down the middle and fairly flat. I am 6' and 220lbs. good sleeps. I am still trying to duplicate my sleep slightly diagonal in my new hammocks. I used the bugnet as well that comes with it. using a pad (slightly below full inflation) kept the edges from squeezing in to much. as for tarps..i bought one that I will use all year round. old man winter. maybe I will go lighter, but I like the coverage. kelty's noah tarp is a good price but heavier and comes in different sizes. I am planning on getting one for car camping in the spring. you will find most of the cottage venders on here have similar and equally awesome tarps though. cant help you with that as I only have the one, and it is awesome.

Laying on the diagonal allows you to get a flat, comfortable lay. You're going to banana if you don't.

As a Boy Scout you should consider it a point of pride to fashion yourself a set of whoopie slings from 7/64 Amsteel...

    Good Luck

On my ENO DN I have the whoopies slings for suspension, a structural ridge line, the AHE New River underquilt (fits perfectly and easy to set up) and the Tadpole tarp. Everything is either stealth brown or olive which I love.

I would purchase the underquilt before I got the tarp, however, as you can use a cheapo tarp for awhile but nothing really compares with the comfort and warmth of an underquilt. Beats wrestling with a pad all night!

Good luck and get out there!

My suspension: I ordered 30' 1 inch wide heavy duty polypro webbing with a 2 inch loop on either end from strapworks.com. I cut it in half (be sure to melt the ends that you cut to prevent fraying) and paired it with some rings. I ditched the rope and biners that came with the DN and replaced with some 7/64 amsteel and rings.Very simple and very quick to setup. I would recommend descending rings, but I have been making due with some zinc coated rings from the local hardware store. BTW I am 6'6" 240 and havent had any issues with suspension setup yet.

It's not that I don't want to lay flat, but if I'm reading or something I want the option of the "banana" feel. With Hennessys you don't have an option, you either lay flat or are extremely uncomfortable.
