    Thanks Shug. Putting the setup together doesn't take much time, gathering the poles takes longer. I wanted to practice this because i find allot of potential places to hang except there's not the right tree's. I wouldn't want to do this on a regular basis but if i found a real nice spot i'd invest the time and then store the poles away in the bush for next time.

    Thanks for the posting. I always enjoy your posts and pictures. Beautiful where you live, but I could never deal with the cold and the dark in the winter.

    Thanks,,,,,,,,those of us who are born in the north really like the seasonal changes and generally like winter but i have to confess as i get older i'd like it shorter. I'd like the heat od summer shorter as well.Its the overcast around here, the west coast bc and pnw that can get to you.

    Thanks. Good skill to know,,,don't know how often a one tree hang will come into play tho. Lashing lends itself to other area's as well.

    Thanks. It used up more cordage than i would have thought. I always carry a few bundles of para cord with me tho so i was OK. Lashing is a good skill to learn.
