    Old Man Winter leak

We got heavy rain this weekend and I got wet which is a first. My guess is the center seam is where it came from.

What's the best way to seal the seam?

    Leak

I have found that most outdoor shops carry seam sealer. I usually apply very liberal and let dry. Best way to let dry is do the seam sealing on your next trip when good weather is forcasted.

I have used Permatex 81730 Flowable Silicone Windshield and Glass Sealer in the past and it works pretty well. Since it flows it gets down into the threads really well. You can get it at most major auto parts stores or from Amazon.

A silnylon tarp needs a silicone sealer. Another vote here for Permatex Flowable silicone. Does well to get into stitch holes, is available at you local automotive parts store and is usually cheaper than Silnet. Many here also recommend it.

I'm just curious how you rig up your tarp? I've heard of others getting wet, but I think it may have been water coming down their CRL. Their line was running under the tarp and didn't have any drip lines.

I'm NOT saying that's the case, just curious.

I gotta agree here, I've had my OMW through some severe rains without a drop inside, and I never seam sealed it. Please explain your set up, it might help.

I've used a Tadpole and OMW for years without seam sealing them, with no leaks.
