I hiked out to the site and we're good to go. I ran into shannan and patches out there (they spent the night out there last night). It has been a very wet year and we have the mosquitoes to show for it. So, I advise you bring two things for the weekend...

Bring (1)lots of bug spray and (2)some ear plugs or headphones(to drown out the noise when you want to sleep)

I'll see everyone out there soon!

I'll be there is spirit only. You'll see me dancing around the fire in the smoke trails and eating cobbler and smelling your calzones.

    Happy Birthday, Grinder.

See you all later in the year or early next year.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Well, another friend from work and his fiance are coming. So, it is Tuck +3 now. I'll bring more dates and some bacon as well.

Was thinking about bringing a bunch of apples to core and bake in the fire. Ya'll have any interest in doing this? Looks like we are up to 17?

I doubt they would be thrown away (my advice would be to bring one for every two people expected to show and everyone can share or if some people don't want one then a whole apple for some)

It looks like we have a chance for the first sub-optimal weather for one of our hangs down here (ok... technically I say that very hot is sub-optimal too and we've had a few hot ones in Feb). The forecast lows are only 66 and there is a 40% chance of rain/thunderstorms on Saturday. The good news is that the high is only supposed to be about 80 all weekend.

Gettin' close! I should probably start getting my gear ready... nahhhhh, it can wait until Friday morning

bacon wrapped dates are my new found vice.
