    LONG Separating zipper source?

Does anyone know a source for separating zippers long enough to allow a completely removable net like the XLC?

The longest I've been able to find is in the neighborhood of 100"

as far as I know, warbonnet has those zippers made custom. What you can do is buy a length of regular zipper and just don't put stops in. I have done this and it works if you're plan is to leave the netting on in the summer and then remove it once a year or something like that. If you plan to take in on and off while at camp it might prove to be a PITA!

You order the strength of zipper you want, as much continuous zipper as you need (I always order at least a foot more than my plan calls for) and the sliders to match in the style that you want.

Learning to install the sliders the right way was a little bit of a learning curve, patience and more patience and a few bad words got the job done!!

    Those aren't separating zippers.

A separating zipper has a little foot on the end that allows the 2 pieces to come apart completely. As Donna said above, think of a jacket zipper.

OWF has 105" and 110" seperating coil zippers. The 105" will work on a 10' hammock and the 110" will work on 10'6" hammock. Of course this will change based on your SRL length.

    Oops, sorry!

That was a reading comprehension oops rather than a component definition error...but then I live where taking your bug net off and not having it with you is just plain inviting a new crop of mosquitoes or blackflies.

The bugnet is one of those 'never leave home without it things' along with insect repellant and either a bug jacket or at the least a head net.

That is exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks for the link!

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."
