XLC and edge tarp

Will the edge tarp work with the XLC?

Without measuring either piece, I'd say it would work in the same way a foot-long hot dog inside a regular-sized bun works. How much you like how this works will depend on the weather.

I don't see why it wouldn't .. it has an 11 ft. rl.. The xlc will have slack in it and won't stretch the entire length... Someone who owns both will chime in soon..

as an 11' hammock the xlc can't have a RL longer than about 10' so it should work just fine.

The Edge has the same ridgeline length as the other WB tarps (Mamajamba, Superfly etc.) afaik. Before the XLC came along, the Edge used to be a good bit shorter, but Brandon changed the design to make it fit the longer hammock.

I used the "new" Edge with my 11' Dream Hammock and got enough coverage. I didn't have really bad weather, though. And it is way easier to get good coverage for the 10' Blackbird. If I were expecting rough weather, I'd pick a larger tarp or doors.

Thanks for all the replies. Just bought an XLC and a mambajamba to go with it. Looks like my original blackbird might be up for sale soon. I'm gonna keep my original edge tarp for the traveler hammock.

Recieved my single layer 1.7 XLC, Mambajamba and a bug net for my 1.7 traveler today. Thirteen days after I ordered. Not Bad!! I immediately set up the xlc to try her out and fell in love all over again. I loved my original BB but the extra foot really does make a difference.

Thanks Brandon for the quick delivery time as well as the superb products. Also, the color green suits me just fine in the size L.

If the wife doesn't want my original BB, it will be up for sale soon.
