    Nice trail indeed. I have done it 3 times over the years, in both directions. I don't really care for Piney Bridge campground though. But, I also prefer Outlaw camping.

    A few of the hills can be lung busters, prby less so if I would quit smoking.
    Its a proven fact that 78.4% of all statstics are made up on the spot.

    The Piney Bridge campground has been rebuilt and expanded from 3 sites to 12, 2 new toilets and also added a community fire ring with boulders to sit on, it went from livable to very nice.

    I did the hike in reverse

    Glad you had a nice trip. I did the look a couple weeks ago and loved it. Camped on the east end and met a couple other hangers. Those hills on day 2 are killer on the knees. Trekking poles are a must on this trip!
