Southern Illinois Hike N Hang

I am thinking about trying to make this hang guys. Hope I can squeeze it in I sure miss the woods but not as much as the company. would be great to see everyone again.

Thinking about bringing along my 13 year old son. I would have to build another underquilt before then.

I will try to stay up to date on the forum hopefully things have slowed down a work by then.

You'd be welcome to borrow my Pheonix 20 degree 3/4 quilt for him. It'll work down to 20. If it's going to be colder, he can double it up with a 40 degree 3/4 Pheonix I have. The combination of the two will take him to zero degrees. If he's tall you can rig them slightly apart to give full length coverage.

So unless you just want to, there's no need to build a quilt. I also have a 30 degree Marmot down sleeping bag that works very well as a TQ and is still relatively light.

If my son is unable to make it, I would even have a either a set of zero degree or 20 degree hammock gear full length incubator top and under quilt.

Hope you can make it, it would be good to see you again; it's been far too long!

Thanks Gideon I will keep that in mind. I am pretty sure I am in. I just need to see if he is up for a winter hike.

Would like to try and make it up there for this hang . Been a long summer moving away to Tennessee and going back to work . If I can get that Friday off I should be able to make it. Would be good to see some of the guys again.

I think the world is conspiring against me hiking with you guys. My parents have decided to do our family Christmas that Saturday night, so I cannot make it.

It's killing me to miss another one. Maybe I'll plan the next one in February or March.
