Old Gore Tex Bivy for bottom insulation

Anyone tried an old Goretex bivy for bottom insulation? I have a WBBB double layer---maybe even inside the layers. Or even as a sock? Bivy is made to go over a sleeping bag.

If anyone needs some donor material cheap let me know. I have one of these bivy sacks from my time in the UK. PM if interested.

unless I misunderstood... a bivy will do nothing for insulation at the bottom of the hammock. Goretex is just a thin fabric that has no insulating properties.
Swinging in the air with a flair.
