Making the boxed sides the new way I did on the top quilts is even easier, uses less fabric and that saves a few tenths of an oz. A little here, a little there. It adds up. But making it even easier to sew is more appreciated when making it.

Teedee, how did you attach the UQ (just tie it)? Did you incorporate any way of adjusting it so you could let it breathe if need be?

I used guy line cord for the arcs and extended the cord. I used the extended cord and tied a half hitch on the suspension triangle cord and then slipped a micro-cordlock one the guy line cord and cinched it down tight. I then tied a slipped overhand knot in the guy line cord to set the micro-cordlock position. This gives me a toggled half-hitch with the position of the toggle set. Did this on all four corners. To take off, simply undo the half-hitch leaving the slipped overhand knot tied. To put back on simply redo the half-hitch. Since the position of the micro-cordlock hasn't changed, there is no need to redo the slipped overhand knot. 1 or 2 seconds per corner to tie the half-hitch and it's on.

This is awsome. I am working on an UQ and I am sorry that I didn't get to read this b4 I started cutting material. The box baffles are really great.
