    Updated Hammock Hang Calculator App

So, I've updated the hammock hang calculator app for iOS and the Android version will be out soon (just working out some bugs with the variable screen sizes). The app features new artwork and a more streamlined interface with the addition of a clinometer!

The clinometer allows you to use your phone as a sort of "level", utilizing your phone's accelerometer. This gives you a "live" reading of the angle of your suspension and the associated forces, based on the settings in the app. You can also save the angle so you can input the angle you see directly into the settings.

You can see screenshots and get more info on my blog post.

This is a free update for anyone who already downloaded the app.

FULL DISCLOSURE: This is a paid app, but I do not receive any royalties or payments whatsoever for its sale. The deal I worked out with the developer gives them 100% of the royalties as a means to pay for the app development.

Very trick Derek. Love the addition. Guess I'll wait patiently for the Andriod version....Is it ready yet?.....how about now?......now?

Makes me think of Q in the Bond movies. Next you'll add lasar sighting to get the precise distance between trees and altimeter to hang the straps at the exact height. Perfection....here we come.

I love my Windows phone, but suspect we'll be using anti-gravity Dutch floaters before I can use this app!

Hmmm most phones Do have InfraRed so they can act as a tv remote...perhaps...?

Nice update. I like being able to save the angle from the clinometer. And that it works on the ipad.

Nice update. Thanks for adding the clinometer.

Fun to hold it level and watch as the loads exceed 50,000 lbs or even going to six digits.

Very cool! I updated my version when I saw this posted on Derek's website, and I used the clinometer just yesterday to help a friend get a better hang angle. Works well. Handy app.
