you know what would be cool? If you made the distance between the fixed eye and the constrictor 6' or so. That way you'd wrap the end of the whoopie around the tree, and clip the adjustable end to the hammock. You'd just have one line. May be something to ponder...

You know, after thinking about it I wonder if the thin cordage would cut through the sticks? I will have to experiment around with it.

I use the ucr/whoopee hook set up and love it! What I do is thread a piece of shock cord thru the hole in the whoopee hook, then tie an overhand knot, making a loop just small enough so I can stretch it over the opening of the hook and slip it over the hook. this doesn't provide much strength, but holds the muletape inside the hook.

If the sticks are too thin or too dead then yes it can cut through. Otherwise it just cuts into the sticks.

You can use a TI DC for that. I'm sure both of you guys are diligent at using trail sticks but I can't make a product that would encourage others to use 1/2" mule tape because the next guy won't be so thoughtful or may not know to use the sticks.

Hey I understand Dutch, I would certainly not want to encourage tree damage. Thanks for all you do make!!

I completely understand. It is also good to know that the Ti DC will work.
