Don't worry I have been out in it. I wish I could hang though. As to the moving it should go pretty easy. We will get together some time though.

Yep - Country Roads is right, probably around 5:00 for me! Happy to meet folks in the woods - maybe someone can text me the directions if you all venture to new sites!
Got the shipping notice the other day. It should be here tomorrow, or maybe Monday. I'll still be using my HH tarp, but that's fine. Ordering the SF tomorrow. Even with all the OT I've been putting in, I still can't bring myself to justify getting the camo CF tarp. That much $$ I'd never want to use it or get it dirty!
I'm gonna take Friday off, so I'll be up there early afternoon. Since I'll be going through Hartford anyway, might have to stop off at Cabela's.
As for parking, just let me know where.
Hey Barrettgajr, nice to hear from someone in Chicopee, just a stones throw away from us.
There isn't any firewood for sale on on the site and you couldn't carry it in anyway, unless you had a all-terrain wagon or something. Don't think this is car camping. There is a bit of a hike to get in. We're not even really sure if we're supposed to be camping there but we take care of the place and try not to do any harm. Something I was wondering...I've heard that building fires too close to the water can be bad for the water; it's obvious other people have done it, but other people have also been really careless with trash, etc. around there so it's not likely that they checked to see if it was allowed. Anyone have any thoughts?
It's a reservoir so zoning laws prevent people from building a certain distance around the water, so it does seem like you're out in the wilderness. Last time we hung there we heard coyotes all night...actually cosmic camper was snoring away while I lay awake listening to the howling. I think the snoring kept them away.
Well guitargeek, let me know if you want any more info about the place. The little store on Rt. 116 is called Gagne's. If you want to park there, and it's pretty much the only place, then stop in and ask if it's okay and either buy some stuff or give the guy $5. I might call the store owner next week and ask about parking. We've only ever left one car there and he doesn't charge anything and would probably let anyone park there, but just to be sure I might check and tell him we'll pay him.
Best,
CountryRoads
Man, this is going to be sweet! Guitar geek - were you at NEHHA? I think I know you but can't remember for sure. Barretgajr - come on out for this little hang! Having a place to discuss/plan small spontaneous hangs in our neck of the woods is pretty awesome
Tempted to set up in the yard...
Do it Brian!
I remember ya! You won some stuff at the raffle if I recall...
