    Super Fly in the rain

    Well, more like a monsoon.

I spent 3 nights at Raystown Lake in central PA over the weekend, and experienced the heaviest downpour I have ever slept through. The coastal rains were steady and wind-blown Thurs through Sat morn.

Brandon sez that the peak seam needs no sealing. He is right. Not a drop penetrated or wicked! As a result my Hammock Gear TQ and UQ stayed bone dry.

What a tarp for lousy conditions!

    Jim

Brother if you slept out last weekend and didn't get wet I'm sure you are good to go in anything. Thanks for this, I just ordered a Superfly. I live in Central Pa and we had about 8 inches of rain.

Looks like the trip in 06 that got me out of a tent and into a hammock. We were soaked. My buddy in a HH explorer was high and dry. Convenced me. Ordered my first hammock as soon as we got back.
