I'm looking at a 10' SL Streamliner in the 1.3 Coyote. Haven't seen any feedback on anything made out of that. I PM'd and they told me these were 54" wide. My 11' BIAS WW is great, but longer and wider, which makes me a bit leary of the lay.

    Anyone got one?

Ordered some Quick Flys and some stuff bags. Very well made.
    Another happy customer.

    Thanks Jared

It looks like it is a sewn channel, which gives some options. I was thinking it might be best to run a cord through it and whip it "warbonnet style", then larks heading a whoopie sling over the knob. If you order the whoopie slings as an add on, does he do it this way, or just thread the sling through the channel? It is unclear from the picture of the flat hammock on the website.

Now that you have owned it a while, are you still liking it? I am debating between a 10 ft, 1.6 or 1.9 Streamliner and a 10 foot Freebird from Papa Smurf at Dreamhammocks. Any input you might have would be appreciated. Thanks.
Wow! How did I miss this thread?? Hope this helps, albeit a little late

I would think whipping the ends of this hammock would negate any benefit of the cat cut design. Both mine and my son's have CL's through the end channels (1 footers IIRC) with whoopies or UCR's larks headed to them. Seems to add to the comfort a bit as I started with my UCR's threaded through the end channel, and prefer it with the loops.

We love ours, mine lives in my pack when it's not strung between trees. I only switch to a double layer hammock in the winter because the kid gets the UQ ( gotta make sure he's warm!) and I use a pad.....for now.

I believe both the Streamliners we have are wider than that. Once your shoulders and feet hit the "edges" on the diagonal it's instant comfort. In other hammocks I've had to wiggle around a bit to find "the spot", there's nowhere else to go in these. If that makes any sense??

I have also had an awesome experience dealing with Jared and Simply Light Designs. I went on a trip to Linville Gorge last week and needed a few things right before the trip. Although he always has super fast shipping I contacted him just to let him know of my timeline and he upgraded my shipping to make sure it was here in time. Awesome customer service! I have a Tree Runner DL 1.1, Woopies, Tree straps, ridge line and rain skirt that I have ordered from him. They are all great but I have to say my favorite piece is the skirt. It rained the whole trip and it kept me dry everyday. My next purchase from him will be a tarp. My shopping experience has been so good that even if I find a design I like elsewhere I will contact SLD to have it made for me.

+1 on SLD... I recently got a Trail Lair, which gives me a quality and super-comfy hammock with integrated bugnet, without breaking the bank. Highly recommended!
