does anybody know if silk is downproof? maybe the 10mm? or whatever folks are making silk hammocks out of seems like a good weight, thinking of making a big comforter for home use.

Both 8 & 10mm are "downproof" and IIRC Gardenville has used 4.5mm with no down leaking problems. For home use I'd use 10mm for durability.Originally Posted by warbonnetguy

great, i thought it was, but wanted to confirm. i'll probably opt for the heavier stuff anyway (not really even that heavy at all)
