I'd like to try the 10 mile loop called Low Gap Trail in Morgan Monroe. Has anyone had experience with the water sources on that trail? I understand there is a creek near the back-country trailhead but does it dry up in the summer/fall?

Yes it does, but should carry plenty for the next few weeks due to recent and projected rainfalls. Contact the forestry beyond that or to be sure. Lot of road walks on the Low Gap. Take your walkin' shoes!
Next weekend HF members are holding the annual Halloween Hang, in the HNF Deam Wilderness area. You are certainly invited. Take a look in the Midwest section of the Trip Thread, for details. If you're interested in checking out a multitude of different set-ups, or possibly just wishing to get some hands on help fine tuning your set up, it will be a great opportunity. Large number of hangers dispersed throughtout a large area of undeveloped backwood. Cresent Valley.
