What's the lightest cord/ rope I can use to stake down my hammock tarp. Using 2 stakes. The other ends are tied to tree. Thanks ahead for suggestions

Definitely zing-it or lash-it. If I recall correctly, they are both exactly the same, just different colors? Either way, they weigh next to nothing. Research threads on DIY tensionsers for your guy lines, and pick up a couple Dutch Stingerz for the sides going around the tree. You'll be glad you did. Oh, and depending on what tarp you have, you might wanna get some of Mountaingoat's snakeskins. I wish I had before trying to set my tarp up in the wind.

I may be dumb, but at least I'm ugly!
I've done so much, with so little, for so long, now I can do anything with nothing.
It's not peer pressure, it's just your turn.
All good advice! Can't go wrong with Dutch ware or zing it
For tying the tarp to the trees, zing-it or lash-it. For guy-outs to use with ground stakes, glowire from http://lawsonequipment.com/. If you are using a continuous ridgeline to tie the tarp to the trees, one dutch stingerz on one side, and a dutch flyz on the other. If you are using separate ridgelines on each side, dutch flyz on both lines.
Does'nt @ taunt line hitch work just as good as Dutch stingers?
I use 1.25mm Z-Line Spectra Cord
I got a cuben fiber tarp. Very expensive but very light. Also good stakes. Altogether so far under a pound complete set up
My cuben tarp has a Zing It continuous ridgeline spliced to a tarp fly on one end and a Dutch hook on the other. The guys are Z-Line and attach to the D rings with 200lb dyneema fishing line prusiks. I can't splice the Z-line, so it doesn't look as pretty but it doesn't tangle as easy as Zing It.
I have a Spinn tarp without a continuous ridgeline. Z-Line and a Dutch hook on one end and a Stingerz spliced to Zing It on the other and Zing It guy lines.
There are things I prefer about each setup and can't say I have a favorite. The CRL is more easily adjustable by simply sliding the prusiks back and forth. You can cut through Z-Line and I've never had that problem with Zing It. The fishing line is super light and strong, but you may want gloves to tighten the tension or you can burn your hands. You shouldn't need self tensioners with cuben.
I think I just like to fiddle...and play with DutchWare...
Afoot and light-hearted, I take to the open road,
Healthy, free, the world before me,
The long brown path before me, leading wherever I choose.
