It's going to be freaking ten below zero. I just know it. I'm down in Tennessee right now, so it's going to be a huge change.

I'm entertaining the idea, if everything goes better than expected, to head up Thursday. Sounds like a couple others are also. Three consecutive nights in sub zero temps will be an adventure for sure.

3 nights in a row will for sure let you know if you have your system dialed in or not.

It also is a great way to check the amount of condensation or frost in your quilts. Weigh them before you go then again when you return.

I have found that the moisture build up is is the biggest factor in staying warm when out for a longer period.

I might be into going Thursday also if there are going to be a few others

42 and rain now what the heck!?!? Good old Accuweather! Will have to wait until next week for a reasonable forecast

All I can do is hope they are completely wrong with this one!

It appears to me that Accuweather is one of the only sights to predict beyond 10 days .

Weather.com and others stick to 10 days probabley because of so many variables the further out you go . After 10 days weather.com reverts to averages which are pretty meaningless in this day and age .

So like you say lets get closer before we give the report any credence .

NOAA is still saying above precip and below temps for 8-15 days so that makes me feel better! Looking forward to getting closer so I can pack accordingly.

It's my understanding that there's a lot of teamwork that goes into the Frozen Butt Hang. These guys have a great team concept, they lookout and take care of one another. Looks like a lot of fun going on, but there's also serious business taken care of beforehand. Hoping all works out well for you fellas.

+1 on the very serious business going on, all involved need to watch out for everyone else.

The MI hangs should be no less vigilant. Hypothermia and death can result in temps not even below freezing.

Ditto on the above. For weather forecasting, you can't go wrong with using

I noticed Accuweather backed the temps back down to 30's and 20's, with some single digits for nights. I need to stop torturing myself by checking there!

I'll probably be packing some serious lumens, so if anyone is there Thursday night you'll see me arriving to the camp site around 11PM or so...it's not the sun rising early
