Awesome time! Hiking in at 11PM Thursday in 7° was amazing...fresh trail of about 14" of untouched powder, I love it!
Stayed dry and avoided ALL the rain being mostly overnight (and sleeping in til about noon) haha. That sound of rain on the tarp can't be beat!
Packed up and headed out pretty early to get home...lots going on here and a busy week ahead.
Unfortunatley my Jeep stalled right as I was exiting the lot. Couldn't rev it over 2500rpm so that made for a slower trek back, a little over 5 hours. Plus it would stall if I slowed down below 10mph so I blew a few stop signs. Very tough restarting, lucky to be home! Going in for service tomorrow. Averaged about 14.3mph instead of the usual 19.5
FYI - I knew it was going to be damp so I took weights before and after:
20° HG Incubator +1oz
Before: 25.10oz
After: 25.15oz
15° Marmot Pinnacle
Before: 40.08
After: 40.13
Not even worth measuring but good peace of mind for the next damp trip with down!
