    Machine Tension Adjustment

Every once in a while I come across a good article explaining top and bottom tensions on sewing machines. This is a great one that is easy to understand.

    http://www.treadleon.net/sewingmachi...djustment.html

Hopefully this will help those who a just starting out making their own gear.

    Enjoy!
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

If you've made it to treadleon, you have a sewing machine problem to go along with your hammock problem (we won't call them addictions).

    Qoute from the site.
"Well, by now only the mad will still be with me, the brave and the foolish have left for pizza and we have not even got to the lower thread tension that we are going to discuss"]Well, by now only the mad will still be with me, the brave and the foolish have left for pizza and we have not even got to the lower thread tension that we are going to discuss."

    Lengthy but thorough explanation.

Wish I'd seen that link prior to last night & this afternoon. I've been struggling with broken needles, horrible stitching & jammed bobbins while making a pair of tree huggers. Eventually got them made but the stitching is pretty dreadful <sigh>.

One of the reasons I like the Brits is the language - I love British television shows.

Isn't that the way it always happens? I always find the info I need after the fact.

I really like my Janome. It makes working with silnylon so easy to work with.
