Just got my Tadpole pitched for the first time (see thread in reviews section) and after pitching it I have a question . . . is there a definite "head" end and "tail" end? I was looking at the pictures I took and it seemed really obvious in one pic that one end was more elongated while the other was shorter-- then I saw a shot form another angle and it didn't look that way at all?????? Just curious.
I'm using a CRL for the tarp using Hansen's method (40ft lash it with ring attached to one end of the tarp and prusik loop at the other end of the tarp) -- works great and simple to hang, but just wondered about tension. I'm thinking that enough tension to make the ridge line taut and then tension each guy line until the whole thing is taut and that should be fine. Each of my guy out lines has a 6" loop of shock-cord inline so I really don't think I'm overdoing it. Thoughts?
