Sell or modify my Mambajamba Tarp..Please help.

Last year I bought the MambaJamba tarp with Separate attaching doors. The weatherman at least on the east coast has been unpredictable at times. Its seems like I am always carrying the attached doors with me on all my trips. Secondly the attached doors for me can be flimsy and complicated at times. Especially while setting up. One time as I was hooking one of the shock cords on the door to the other end, the plastic hooks snapped and I lost that hook, making it difficult to set up especially at night time. Now I feel like I should have gotten the Superfly tarp instead.

My question is should I sell the Mambajamba with doors and buy the superfly or should I goto 2QZQ and have the doors sewn on. Please advise. Thank you.

IMHO...Buy the superfly at $130, sell the mamajamba (originally $110 and doors at $75) for somewhat less than new prices and still get some of your original investment back with something you really want.

I agree with ExPXGUY. Sell what you have and get what you want.

sales mean somebody will read this thread then think they should pay more for the parts than for the superfly. This will be fun to watch... ;-)

What if somebody wants a tarp with removable doors? Makes sense then.

In my scenario, I've been out on maybe 15 trips with my Mamajamba. It rained 3 times, and I only NEEDED the doors once. I didn't even take the doors about half the time, and when I did it was usually only 2 of them. So in this case, it was nice not to have a rats nest of cords, extra tie outs, stakes etc. Just one simple, clean, taut tarp.

If I ran into more rain, yes, a Superfly would be the #1 choice.
