    Gossamer Gear Evazote Wide

This pad is 40x60", 1/4" thick evazote.

    Fastened with two buttons.

My next hammock that I build I plan on placing the pad inside the two layers and then sewing the two layers together right along the edge of the pad. I understand that this is a lot more work than your button method but are there any reasons why my idea is not being used by anyone?

I have an Exped Synmat 7 and I'm having a hard time finding anyone local with this hammock to inspect it in person.

Neat idea though on keeping a pad from slipping. I'll have to try this.

If you're an REI member you could always order one and try it out at home. They have an excellent return policy. http://www.rei.com/product/847001/ex...-hammock-combi

They changed their lifetime policy to a one year policy. It was only a matter of time. They can only sustain the return policy abuse for so long.

    Cure for pad slippage!

Still a great policy as I normally know by the first trip if I've bought the wrong product. Saw a Special on LLBean about their maintaining the lifetime policy and how little abuse of it cost them compared to the marketing gains.

?! Good to know as a REI member... A little OFT, but is backcountry.com the only place as for now with lifetime return policy return? A one year is still good, yet I am used to 2 years warranty from Europe.
