This pad is 40x60", 1/4" thick evazote.
Fastened with two buttons.
My next hammock that I build I plan on placing the pad inside the two layers and then sewing the two layers together right along the edge of the pad. I understand that this is a lot more work than your button method but are there any reasons why my idea is not being used by anyone?

I have an Exped Synmat 7 and I'm having a hard time finding anyone local with this hammock to inspect it in person.
Neat idea though on keeping a pad from slipping. I'll have to try this.

[QUOTE=CanoeJoe;1127654]If you're an REI member you could always order one and try it out at home. They have an excellent return policy. http://www.rei.com/product/847001/ex...-hammock-combi
Still a great policy as I normally know by the first trip if I've bought the wrong product. Saw a Special on LLBean about their maintaining the lifetime policy and how little abuse of it cost them compared to the marketing gains.
