Considering rule additions or changes to the way things are and the tough decisions that the moderators have to come up with are understandably good things. From a members viewpoint, to be heard and feel our input is being considered is important too. It validates our concerns that Hammock Forums are indeed headed in the right direction. Perfect, some opposition. Real or not! Better supports this as a sub forum so those not interested can easily avoid it altogether.

I can't see it NOT being it's own sub forum. It's more of a "Barter" section than a anything else. The trade structure would be totally different than how to WTS/WTB sub forums operate. That being said, if you're actively seeking cash, but would consider trades, then the WTS forum is where you should go. As we currently do.

Hopefully the mods consent to this. But honestly, other than whats been discussed here, I think it'll only be completely refined the way we've done with the WTS section: Through use, practice, and trial and error.

I agree 100%. I do hope this goes through because I would love to do some bartering as opposed to straight-up buying and selling. Also, would such a forum have an "I'm looking for X" option in addition to the "I have X, make me an offer" option?

I see no reason why theres not room for "I have a hammock, WTT for a Superfly"


But on the same note, there's nothing stopping you from saying

"WTT for a Superfly, Offering a hammock" in the WTB thread

I totally agree that this is a great idea. Has anyone heard any further thoughts from the "powers that be"? I am anxiously waiting!

We are still in discussion about it. We are also waiting for one or two of the other Mods to step in as they have been in travel for the last week or so. So we are waiting for them to give us their input. We have not forgotten about this topic and as soon as we have made a decision we will let you all know. Sorry for the delay.
