    My first "real" DIY hammock.

I made a couple of hammocks out of free "neat sheet" material used as packaging for sofas shipped to our furniture store. It stretched like crazy under my weight and stayed stretched. So... what's a poor hammock addict to do? Walmart to the rescue! Nylon digital camo in the clearance rack! $5.81, a couple hours of planning, test hanging and thread injecting later... Success!

That's a nice big hammock. Have made a couple out of the same Walmart material myself and have always found them to be comfortable.

PS: Love the "hammock stand" too.

I am in the process of making a blackbird clone out of this stuff. Everything is finished except for the bugnet which I hopefully wont miss on the overnighter in the mountains this weekend. It's been raining so I havent had the chance to hang it up yet but it feels nicer than my 1.9oz ripstop hammock.

I'm diggin the swing-set setup, man!

    My first "real" DIY hammock.

It's sort of an industrial turtledog I suppose. We got it when we lived in the Dominican Republic and I could not resist bringing it home when we moved back. It's way over built.

Nice job on Hammock. Looks comfy! I've scored some killer deals at Walmart as well. It's hit and miss. If I see something good I'll usually buy all they have in stock.
