I still use my UQ indoors, even though mine is rated to 0* plus some overstuff. So far I have not really needed to vent. (I'm sure during the warmer months I might need to). With that setup, I usually don't even need a top blanket while I'm lounging, maybe just a lightweight fleece if it is really cold out (I set my furnace kinda low).
I can't think of a safer place to "store" my UQ than hanging below my hammock uncompressed.

couple layers of fleece between the double layers works well. Considering getting a cheap twin comforter to sew on as uq
I use a one season Jarbidge UQ. Works awesome and I don't have to worry about it moving around. I can also take it camping in the summer instead of my three season if it's really warm out
