    Jarbidge 1st Impressions

Last weekend, I got to use my Jarbidge for the first time. According to the weather log here, the overnight low was around 38. I used it on my HH Explorer deluxe with the Triangle Thingies. It was awesome. I don't have a top quilt so I did a little experimenting. I am a cold sleeper by nature.
First night: Used a poncho liner homemade top quilt with velcro foot box in conjunction with a 30 degree sleeping bag. Too warm so I abandoned the homemade top quilt. Next night, I tried just the poncho liner top quilt. Around the 38 degree area, I had to add the sleeping bag back. I was cold on top, but my shoulders and back never got cold. Using the Triangle thingies was a snap and very easy. The Jarbidge stayed in place even when I rolled/turned in the hammock.

    Thanks for update.
I've been looking at these pretty hard and with the holiday special, I think I need to step up.

    Re: Jarbidge 1st Impressions

I've got a Jarbidge from the last sale with the Apex upgrade. Slept down in the mid to upper 30's a few times now and it does well. It's a little finicky in placement until you understand not to make the ends to tight and actually create a channel for cold air. Once you get that they work great. Paul made a video on adjusting it properly on YouTube.

Great UQ, I have the 3S and the 1S and have been using them for several years. I take them to hangs to let people try out and I think Paul has gotten a few sales as a result.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

I've got a New River that I love, but seeing that the Jarbridge w/Apex upgrade is a great deal right now, I may have to pull the trigger on this one as another early Christmas present....

Question: Does anyone have any pictures of how small the Jarbridge can pack down in a compression sack? That may be the motivation for me to add it to my cart
