I'm using an IPAD. Videos work on other sites just fine. When I click on one here all I get is a black/blank screen.
I've searched for threads on this topic but haven't found one.
Any advice?

I have the same problem...hopefully someone will have some advice
I recently made and posted (here) a short video that I'd put up on YouTube so I could share it. The only one who couldn't see it was using an iPad, I think. I tried to see it on my Android phone and couldn't see it either.
What I found out from searching for "can't view video on-line" was that there seems to be two sets of rules when it comes to viewing YouTube videos, one for computers in general, the other for "portable devices." I know smart phones fall under "portable devices" and suspect maybe the iPad does too, but I don't know exactly what defines a "portable device" for this purpose.
How I was able to make the video available to the "portable device" was to post a second version of my little video without the sound track music I added to the original.
It seems that adding music from a CD to the video was the problem. I has to do with YouTube wanting to avoid copyright problems with cell phones and whatever else falls under the heading of "portable devices." So they make it unavailable on their server to those devices.
What that doesn't seem to apply to computers in general, I have no idea.
But posting the version without the music seems to have worked in my case, anyway.

Thanks flamike. I've read numerous posts I've googled about the problem but haven't found a solution yet.
I updated to iOS 7.0.3 on my iPad 3. Forum embedded YT videos are working fine now.
I stand corrected...video worked and now does not.

My first question is are you using safari to view the forum on the ipad? If so then try switching to chrome instead. Safari, along with apple products in general, don't support flash so viewing video doesn't work much of the time. However Chrome has flash support built in.
Occasionally I run. Into a video that can't be viewed from a mobile device. At that point I run YouTube in desktop mode (function built into chrome) and the video has always played for me then.

I do not think this is a flash related problem. Embedded YT videos worked fine on my iPad3, prior to upgrading to iOS 7. I am able to watch all of the videos in mobile and desktop versions of YT... excluding videos that are made not available to play on mobile devices or videos that do not meet YT copyright rules. Hopefully, Apple will fix the bug soon.

I don't know why but my iPad now plays the videos on this site (without using Tapatalk).
Meh. I was saving all three segments of the Grand Loop, and none work for me.

I run flashblocker on Firefox so flash requires an extra click to run. It cuts a lot of resource sucking advertising but also blocks YouTube unless I click on the play arrow. Few, if any, YouTube video's are not flash at the consumer end. Apple had a running issue with Adobe over Flash. I do not run Apple so I do not keep current over what the status is. With Jobs gone the problem may be fading as it is purely a political fight. It sounds like the work around is Chrome. It may also be that the latest software does Flash. If not it is a feature not a fault. ;-)) If you want to know more Google has a lot of links to Apple Flash support.
YMMV
