    Ga./S.C.>Burrel's Ford Hang

What a weekend. Beautiful weather, 28 low Friday night and 36 on Sat. night. Everyone reported quilts working well. Wish I had jotted down the names of everyone there but I didn't, perhaps someone else will chime in with who all came. We enjoyed the fire every night, and guess who kept it going, and did a great job of it, too. I won the dumb butt award for the weekend, I remembered to put everything I needed in my pack, except my kettle. I got there with no pot to heat water in, but when I was worrying about it friend Orion X offered to share his kettle with me and I counter offered to furnish the stove and fuel, result, we both had all the hot water we wanted. Friends are awesome! I heard rumors starting about a Dec. hang for the N.Ga./S.C. folks, so keep an eye out.

I second that emotion... Was a great hang. My wife enjoyed meeting everyone and plans to attend again.

It surely was a great time, and beautiful weather. Enjoyed meeting everyone and checking out all those hammocks *drool*. Thanks to everyone for having me and Trudge for being cool and showing me some stuff.

Good to meet you too, old4hats. Look forward to the next one!

Buddy and I had a great time on the river. Thanks to Orion X for holding my river front property for me. The Fall colors were out and the cold weather felt nice. We had a great turn out of the usual suspects and some new folks to round out the group. Looking forward to doing it again soon. Maybe next time the raccoons wont be out in full force

Keeping warm on a chilly Friday night

Great Fall colors on the river

A Boy Scout troop came in Saturday and several of the boys were asking questions about the hammocks and how comfortable they looked.

Me and Buddy snuggling down for a warm night under the sleeping bag.

Thumbs up Good Time As Always At Ellicots Rock!

Was a good time seeing all the familiar faces again and meeting some new hangers as well. Lots of interest shown by several new hangers and soon-to-be hangers asking questions, taking notes, photos of everyone's set up for future purchase references. I am certain everyone had a good time sharing stories by the fire, and the usual "Disaster of the evening" when Floorman managed to dump his much anticipated Apple Cake thing he worked on with such determination and vigilance....right up to the moment of impact into the rocks around the fire. But all was not lost as he managed to spoon some of it up and taste it before the fire got the better of it. It was a nice day and the short hike back to the parking area with 2 Ply /Buddy and GrizzlyHackle was pleasant. If a December hang becomes a reality, I hope that I can make it.

    What a great weekend.

Still trying to get my photos uploaded and will share tomorrow. Was great to meet all the forum folks and see so much hammock goodness. Kind of funny that this forum found a fellow hanger 3 miles from me. Hope everyone had a easy and safe trip home. Rob and I suffered with overstuffed bellies from the Dillard house.

    Hang well

My first real hammock camping experience!

This thing was a lot of fun. Looking forward to getting out there again soon. If December happens, I'm there.

    A killer fire Saturday night.

No shortage of great hang spots.

    Appalachian lunch.

That's some mighty fine looking eats! It's hard to beat home style cooking. Did Trudge help eat all of that or were all 17 dishes yours?

    Darn, that food looks good!!!

Hermit and I had a great time. Thank you Floorman for hiking with me to King Creek Falls. It sure is beautiful.
Thank you all for two wonderful nights by the fire talking hammocks and anything else that came to mind. Floorman, the apple cake was good, just couldn't get much out of the fire. Next time I will being a bigger bottle of Fireball. It sure helped to warm up the cold night.
I hope to make the December hang if it happens. Brrrrr.... I'll be bringing the 0* Quilts to that one.
