Thanks for the kind words, folks!

This is really just a MMG Sock with SEEP, in silnylon, with breathable bottom. It's not rocket surgery, nor space age materials.

I hope the drip edge works!

    Sock/Tarp combination arrived today

    First impressions:

    At first: Looks really good!

Second: I have to figure out distance of the Seep/Tarp part. It's part of a game between to loose and to tight. To far tied out and the breathable part of the sock gets to high, to near and the Tarp/SEEP part is right next to the sock. It will take some time. A CRL will be added for the first field test, I guess.

    Thanks a lot,

    Chris

Very interesting... ever since I saw MM's setup (HNO design) it occupied my mind, at least the 'wanna have part' of it ... Not sure if I can afford cuben right now (or the HNO is willing to make one, since I never even contacted him) so this might be a viable alternative...

    Keep up the good work!

Chris, your first picture shows the seam where the SEEP attaches to the side at the back... and that seam is way up in the air, so the sock has shifted. That seam should be even with the edge of the hammock, or nearly so. That is what you meant when you said the tight tarp pulls the bottom up.

I believe the best way to configure it is to have it reach the correct tension only after you load the hammock. Your weight will pull the sock down, and tighten the tarp/SEEP.
