When I was at Ft. Gordon, I headed out to the Fam Camp area. One side of the lake was set up for pop-ups and RVs and the opposite side of the lake was for t**ts and such. I usually had the place to myself except for the fishermen and long distance runners who used the site for the start / finish of their routes.

If you're referring to where to hang in the barracks, guess that depends on the bldg. design & if the base C.O. would allow it. Otherwise.....just find some sweet looking place with the appropriate trees & hang!! Stealthily if need be.

Pretty much every post has at least ONE family rec area... Here at Polk we have Alligator Lake, the Fullerton Rec Area, or the Toledo Bend Rec Center, and the entire southern half of the training area is dual-use National Forest (closed during hunting season, open for camping, hiking, ATVs, and Motocross during the weekends, and used as military maneuver area as needed.) At Drum there was Remington Pond. Bragg, Campbell, and Stewart have theirs as well. I haven't been to Hood lately, but I seem to remember a rec area at Belton Lake.
