Hello!

Hi, I am a new member and just introducing myself. I live in Virginia, and have been backpacking and camping for years, but have just started to experiment with hammocking in the past 18 months or so.

I usually DIY my own gear, but decided to go with a WBBB and underquilts from Hammock Gear (great stuff!) I have to say that it was something to get used to, but the more I do it, the more I enjoy it--especially not having to lug the old 2-man tent around with me up and down hills!

I hope to get to know folks here, and maybe participate in any local hangs if my schedule allows.

I'm way up north, about an hour west of the DC area. It puts me close to the Shenandoah area and West Virginia, but it sure would be nice to see some of the southern part of the state as well. I'm looking forward to getting to know the other hammockers around the forum!
