    Which underquilt?

Getting ready to drop some coinage on my first UQ. I have a 10' DB double. I know opinions are easy to get. And it sounds like there are many good choices. My concern (being new to hammocks) is are there any UQ's that will affect my ability to lay asym. I really like the way my DB lays. I like to avoid spending my money twice. Thanks

With the exception of the pea pod no UQ from any cottage vendor here IMHO IS going to negatively effect an asym lay. However with that said (having tried several UQ from various vendors) I find the wider UQ more comfortable when laying asym in comparison to narrower UQ.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Really like my JRB MW3. Works great with asym HH, but don't have any other quilts to compare.

+2, except I do have some others to compare with, and they are all very nice. But I may slightly prefer my JRBs, mainly because of the suspensions and great dif cut. And I have never had any trouble at all with diagonal and my PeaPod. If the pod will fit comfortably and loosely around your hammock, there should be no problem with diagonal. But, the wider and deeper the hammock, then maybe you will be more likely to have some trouble. Also, if you do any extreme diagonal such as in fetal position with your bod almost 90^ to your hammock, it might get too tight. And I do tend to use mine mostly on the narrow Claytor No Net. Still, I get as diagonal as I want. And if you need more room, there is always a Polar Pod.

I have the Hammock Gear Incubator and Burrow quilts and love them. I also have the Wilderness Logics Summer Series Quilts and love them. Under Ground Quilts are super nice also....

The argon fabric quilts are very nice, and I wish I had one.

Love my HG Phoenix. Will soon be getting a burrow. Adam's awesome customer service has guaranteed that I will buy all my quilts from him.

I've got a Hammock Gear Incubator and love that thing. No fiddle factor needed. Get in and get warm

Don't overlook Underground Quilts or Wilderness Logics though.

I think pretty much all the cottage vendors make great products and you can't really go wrong with any of them.

I agree. It's a tough choice, but they're all good choices.
This year I bought new quilts from UGQ and couldn't be happier. My original plan was to sell off my other insulation, but I'm having trouble letting the other ones go.

I agree with you Papa Smurf, it is hard to let downy softness go. I also have a couple down sleeping bags I don't use, but still can't let go.
